It’s funny how our priorities can change just by changing a behavior.

I last checked my email 4 days ago. I did think about checking my email today; I was mostly curious whether I had received a few confirmation emails. However, since I had no actionable task in mind, curiosity alone did not seem like a good enough reason to load up Gmail today. I do need to check my email tomorrow to take care of any bills that may have come in, so my curiosity will have to wait until then.

It’s interesting how having an actionable purpose for checking email is more of a priority than before. Without that, checking email now feels like a waste of time.
