• “Hackable” site structure– the URI for a piece of content should represent the location of the content in the site’s structure.  For example, given the following URI:

  http://mysite.com/awesome/content-item

  With only a glance at the URI, we know that content-item is in the awesome section of the mysite.com website.  In the same way, this URI is “hackable” in that we can effectively navigate through the site’s structure by removing parts of the URI.  For example, to navigate up to the parent section, we just remove content-item from the URI and load the new URI to navigate to the awesome section.’

Enhanced Content Metadata

Add preset form fields to enter metadata based on post type.  Manually creating and editing custom fields for each post is a thing of the past!  Easily enter and manage additional metadata for a rich content website (e.g. CRM, real estate listings, etc.)

Private Blog…in Public?

Exactly.  Perhaps you have some thoughts you’d like to share but they are mixed in with private or personal content.  Eyes Only lets you have the best of both worlds by letting you publish your posts publicly while also giving you precise control over what readers can see.  If you have some text in a post that you would rather not be read by others (e.g. your mother’s maiden name or your home address), just selected it in the post editor and click the redact button to mask the text when normal readers visit the site.

Better still, all authorized (logged-in) users can see the post’s content in it’s full, unmasked glory.  It’s like magic x-ray glasses that only you get to wear!

How to Use

1. Install and Activate plugin (link below)
2. When writing your post, select the text you want to mask and click the Redactbutton on the toolbar

3. That’s it!  When the redacted text is viewed by normal visitors, it will be masked (i.e. unreadable).

Let’s Get Automatic

Automatic Redactions

Eyes Only can also automatically redact text in all posts by using the creatively-named Automatic Redactions feature.  When a normal visitor views a post, the words/phrases you specify are automatically replaced with any word/phrase you desire.  The post’s original content is hidden in plain view!  Again, all authorized users will be able to see the original post.

How to Use

1. Go to Settings > Eyes Only in the administration menu
2. Add a new word or phrase by clicking the “Add New” button next to the Automatic Redactions header
3. Add the word/phrase you want to hide along with the text you want to replace it with
4. Click the “Add” button and the word/phrase will be hidden to normal visitors in any post on your site.

What’s in a name…

Favicon Rotator gets its name from its unique support for multiple icons.  If you add more than one icon to the list, Favicon Rotator will rotate through the different icons, randomly displaying a different icon when a user visits your site. F-R-E-S-H

Highlights

• New: Add icon for Touch devices (Android, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, etc.)
• Simply point and click to add a favicon to your site

Usage

1. Install and Activate plugin
2. Go to the Appearance > Favicon page from the administration menu
3. Click the “Add new” button to upload or select icons to use from your media library
4. Click the “x” button in the upper right-hand corner to remove any icons you no longer want in the rotation.
5. Save changes and you’re done!  The favicon(s) you’ve selected will now be displayed when someone visits your site.
